New Blossoms New Life 5k
September 4, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
September 4, 2021
About: 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant or sustaining a pregnancy. That is roughly 6.7 million people each year who have trouble conceiving. With advancements in medical procedures, IVF (in vitro fertilization) is an option/necessity in order for couples to have the ability to become pregnant. The process can be lengthy, stressful, emotional and sometimes disheartening. IVF most of the time is not covered through insurance in which out of pocket expenses can average around $15,000 per attempt whereupon success is not guaranteed.
New Blossoms New Life Foundation is a local, non-profit organization that was founded 14 years ago by Renea’ and Chris Kovski when they tragically lost their 2-year-old daughter Maggie. The foundation provides financial assistance and emotional support to couples challenged with infertility – with the goal of helping them have a child. New Blossoms New Life Foundation awards grants for costly fertility treatments, as well as, provides mentoring, counseling, and community education.
Entry Fee: $35.00 per person for race and T-shirt. $25.00 per person for race only. All proceeds will go directly to New Blossoms New Life Foundation to help a couple cover their IVF costs.
