Last night was my one month anniversary. I celebrated by skating around Presque Isle and reading a good book. I also told as many people as I could. More.
Okay, it's been one month, and I feel it is time to add a little to this. No, I don't have too much time on my hands. I just feel that there are times one must take the time to do the important things. Like stopping to smell the floweres.
What follows is an unorganized list of thoughts.
  • For nearly 3 weeks, I had dreams about smoking nearly every night. Those are mostly gone now. Now I have dreams about girls. Hey, I can't help it.
  • I didn't go through the hacking phase I had been warned to expect. Of course, I rarely had a morning cough. Not that I wasn't ready for it.
  • March 5, 2000 will live in my heart for quite a while.
  • No, I haven't inspired others to quit (that I know about), but that's okay.
  • I have had 2 people suggest I start smoking again. I understand their feelings. No, I'm not angry or upset. I sympathize. I also sympathize with animals at the zoo, but caging myself would do little, and would not be likely to get the animal out of the cage.
  • How much time do I have now?
  • Yes, I can smell more than in the past. No, I don't always like it. Yes, I understand how others felt when I smoked. My apologies.
  • I'm not going to mass-mail anyone. But I would like everyone to know I've gone a month.
  • I've said some things about myself that are just a little embaressing. Well, you know, I'm not going to take them off. They are all true, and taking them off the pages would not do any good.
  • I just feel good.
  • So, who's up for a good run?
  • I've been running, and getting a good workout, for the last 4 weeks.
  • My truck doesn't stink as much.
  • My teeth are whiter, and you can see which one had the root canal more clearly, though the one that was capped is harder to see.
  • I'm taking the money I used to spend on smokes and funneling it into:
    health club
    healthy food
    bills
  • Many thanks go out to all the people who helped.
  • Okay, that's enough.
  • I wish all of you all the love and happiness there is.
